To provide the Santa Clarita Nonprofit Leaders networking opportunities, training and resources to better serve our community.

About Us

We are an informal group of staff and volunteer leaders from local nonprofit organizations who meet monthly for educational presentations and professional development offered by a group of experts on topics valuable to our work. 

Our History

The group was founded by Murray Woods, COC Foundation and Lois Bauccio, Child and Family Center Foundation with the initial steering committee consisting of the largest local NPO’s serving the Santa Clarita Valley. Founding Organizations:

Lois Bauccio, CFRE

A longtime resident of the Santa Clarita Valley, Lois Bauccio has lived a life dedicated to civic engagement and community service.  She has had a respected career in non-profit management for more than thirty years best known for her successful tenure as Executive Director of the Child & Family Center Foundation. 

In addition to her professional work for several community charities, she has also been deeply committed to voluntary community service. On behalf of women, children and the under-served, she has been a leading member of the Zonta Club of Santa Clarita for 28 years, and she has served on the boards of numerous community non-profit organizations including the Santa Clarita Chamber of Commerce, the Valley Industry Association, the SCV Arts Council, the Food Pantry, and the Foundation for Children’s Dental Health, among numerous others. She was co-founder of the SCV Nonprofit Leaders Network and the SCV League of Women Voters. She was named Fundraising Professional of 2000 by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Zontian of the Year in 2004, Santa Clarita’s Top 51 Most Influential seven times, San Fernando Valley’s Top 100 Most Influential for 2016, and Single Mothers Outreach’s Empowering HeArts “Iconic” award in 2012. She was named Santa Clarita’s Woman of the Year in 2016. She holds a BA degree from Cal State Northridge, a Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Public Relations from UCLA, and she earned the CFRE status (Certified Fund Raising Executive) in 1996. Currently, Lois is Principal and Consulting Director of LMB Development Services, a comprehensive consulting firm providing development support to local charities.

Amber Cole - College of the Canyons

Amber has worked in development for more than 17 years - fundraising for hospitals, universities, and libraries.She recently relocated from Oklahoma and is excited to meet other nonprofit leaders in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Susan Christopher, Love SCV

As a local estate planning attorney and a former elected school board member, Susan has been focused on impacting our community and bringing people together for years.  As executive director of LoveSCV, she gets to spend time helping individuals, organizations, businesses, and churches work at their best while helping those most in need.  It's been a joy for Susan to be able to continue serving the schools of our valley in her new role.

Lonna Gibson, Seven and Associates

Lonna Gibson has over twenty-three years of experience in development and marketing, specifically with non-profit organizations and private schools. Lonna holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Texas A&M University with a minor in Marketing.

Over the past nine years, Lonna’s experience includes overseeing all marketing and fundraising efforts at Santa Clarita Christian School - creating a culture of giving within the school community through an annual fund, spring gala and golf tournament. These activities have not only built community, but they also raised over $165,000 for the school since their inception in 2017. Previously, Lonna worked at Oaks Christian School as the Director of Annual Fundraising and Communications, in charge of raising over $1.5 million annually. Since 2006 Lonna has worked as a consultant using her wealth of knowledge guiding non-profits through strategic capital, annual giving and fund development campaigns, social media and marketing campaigns, and creating branding audits and key messaging, special events and foundation grant writing, Lonna holds a certification from Storybrand and serves as a volunteer for the Santa Clarita Valley Nonprofit Leaders Network. She is a previous Association of Fundraising Professionals board member and has been a guest lecturer at the Oklahoma AFP Conference, “Branding a Non-Profit.”

Cyndi Kleinfeld, SCV Education Foundation

With a passion for marketing and helping others, Cyndi started SCV Marketing Advice to assist small businesses and nonprofits to create a marketing campaign to grow their organizations for free.
